Associate salary freezed
Hello, have you ever heard of Associates not getting a pay raise going from one level to another?
I am rather shocked but my bank (2nd tier bank) has not raised front office associates salaries in my team (likely applied to higher ranks too) because of tough environment, but they rather pay bigger bonuses at the end of the year. To be clear, salaries are not at the top end of the bucket here, but rather average.
That's fucking bullshit.
I have never heard of that. Cheap asses.
Depends where you’re at. If it’s DB and you’re shocked...
I would guess even UBS gives annual bumps.
Small Boutiques? Who knows.
Work at a small boutique and you do not receive any increase in salary from year to year only when promoted (i.e. analyst to associate).
If your at a kinda normal decently large bank within a normal IBD group that has got some dealflow, this is really strange and unheard of. That's what bonuses are for. Also you will lag behind same level people within your same bank unless everyone else got freezed too, it's senseless. Not upping the base to juniors is toxic, get out asap.
As per comment above, boutiques can be entirely a different story
Never heard of it. I'd be on my way out the door asap.
more responsibility and no more money? sign me up!
unemployment is low af, this is a job seeker's market. times are not tough universally. find a headhunter.
