I know this can happen if you have a promotion in hand and are moving to a similar level or lower level firm. But if you are moving upmarket, then I don’t see it happening for most firms.
Agree, moved as Associate 3 to VP from same level BB to another BB
Former co-worker of mine lateraled from Assoc 3 at a MM product group to VP at a quasi-BB coverage group.
Totally doable. Moved a few month ago from An1.5 at a MM in Toronto to Associate FIG Coverage at a MM in NYC
