Aswath Damodaran

Anyone used Aswath as their primary resource for technicals prep/ general knowledge? Was wondering how is he unique from the other corpfin/ valuation profs/ resources out there - what does he do/ know that others don't?

Also want to ask why is he not more prevalent as a go-to resource for technicals prep - most people point to BIWS & Rosenbaum as the go-to resource

It’s because he has his OWN valuation methods that most Wall Street banks/firms don’t use. He has a more academic perspective while firms are more about modeling in their own fashion.

Go ahead and JUMP!

Used his material as a refresher to get up to speed for a corp fin rotation I did a few years back, mostly looking at project finance concepts if I remember correctly. I found it helpful for that purpose, the material was well explained and laid out in an intuitive fashion. Looking at his youtube page it looks like he's got several playlists by concept, so you can pick and choose as needed.

Can't really give good info on his material from a perspective of valuation etc though.
