Most banks have a minimum of 95-98. All though most candidates that get considered for these roles are in degrees that require 99+ Atars. This is only a requirement though, most dont care what you did in high school, wam is also a minimum type situation (mostly distinction). If you want one of these roles go for experience, extra curriculars, ect, build a good resume for these roles.

 

Law at Sydney; the number 1 degree of investment banking, Co-op at UNSW (its unofficial but almost all that win it are 99+), UQ's advanced finance all are 99+, the fact that you do not know this and are asking about investment banking in Australia, a topic talked to to death on this forum and many others shows a lack of research

 

You must be on a different application… Australia is rarely talked about on WSO, especially IB in Australia. Give the kid a break
