Back-up plans
Long story short, I don't think I am going to get an offer this FT season in IB.
I had a couple leads but basically, everything that could go wrong went wrong. I have a part time internship with a small IB firm but they are struggling financially and unlikely to make me a FT offer.
OCR at my school (non-target) is shit, I don't want to be an assistant store manager at wal-mart. I have an average resume; had internships in RE investment, small IB firm, and with a local consulting firm. high gpa, good ECs.
Any suggestions to other possible job routes i can go in? other jobs i can apply for at this pt? i m thinking about corp fin, etc. i m graduating in may 2011.
Try corporate finance at a large company. Those roles are pretty legit and if you manage to climb high enough, you'll still make bank. Otherwise, you can get an MBA after 3-5 years and then become an associate.
