Background check concern!

Hi everyone,

Filled out all the forms for an upcoming background check for a summer internship that I've accepted a few days ago. I'm currently a student in the UK and where they asked for my predicted grade upon graduation I put 1st class honours (highest degree grade) and also said that I got a 1st in my first year - I calculated a score of 70% from first year.

However only today I've realised I made a bit of an error... I forgot about modular weightings and actually my grade is 68.9% (this is the grade BELOW what I said I got). Normally I'm sure 1.1% wouldn't matter but in my case that's a grade! (i.e. I said I got a 1st Class Score whereas actually I got a 2.1 - not sure what the American equivalent of this is). Can't believe I was so stupid!!

Am I likely to fail my background test now because they'll think I'm trying to boost my score? Was an honest mistake but it's too late to do anything about. Want this internship soo bad I'm fuming with myself!!

FYI the background check is being done by HireRight if anyone has experiences of them.

Thanks guys
