Background Check GPA Dropped
I got a call from HR last week about how they noticed during the background check that my GPA had dropped by a large amount due to me being a transfer student and not having that many units.
I explained the situation, to which they said that it makes sense since the courses that I took were very difficult and to keep them posted on how my next academic term goes.
Am I screwed or do I just have to do well this semester? Do you guys see any chance of my offer being rescinded?
How much did it drop? From what to what?
Also what kind of bank is your offer from? BB? MM? EB?
The drop is about 0.25, essentially from a 3.35 -> 3. 1 .

Your GPA wasn't great, to begin with, this likely puts you below their (3.2-3.3) threshold.
Is this for an internship or FT? Depending on the BB I'd say you could be in trouble if your GPA stays the same.
Get your grades up this semester and you should be fine.
Yeah that makes sense, I don’t know if I could raise it above that threshold even with a 4.0 however ..
Get above a 3.5 and you can justify your improvement
Something’s not adding up here. You said your GPA was so “weak” and fluctuated a lot because you transferred and didn’t have many credits. Then you said not even a 4.0 next semester would bump it up 2 tenths of a point.
Bump, any monkeys with experiences in this situation ??
Just don't let it drop any more (especially below a 3.0) and you'll be fine.
At the end of the day you've been vetted by a whole bunch of team members in the actual group and it is way more of an effort for them to have to go out into the market and get a new SA right before summer starts (off-cycle as well).

Oh so did you send them the transcript by yourself or they actually got in your school system?
You have to send the transcript yourself. It's a privacy law (FERPA, think HIPAA) that they cannot release grades without your consent
that said if you're thinking of doctoring the transcript, the official one comes with all sorts of protections and is sent via a whole transcript clearinghouse so it won't work
