Background check unique concern

Do employers ask your school for disciplinary records? I received a few driving tickets on campus 2 years ago (legal issues have been resolved). Also, I believe I'm under some kind of sanction for the school resulting from this situation, basically it is saying that if I mess up again, there won't be any warning. But this does not impede my ability to graduate, take classes, etc. And I can get myself off this list by doing community service and writing an essay, I just never got around to it as it's not necessary for graduation.

Edit: One of the execs who has been a point of contact regarding the situation just said that it would only come up if they specifically ask for previous disciplinary records, so do employers ask for this?
