Background Check, what should I be aware of??

What is the process for background check once you get the offer and ready to hit the desk?

  1. What does the timeline looks like?

  2. Do you enter your the positions/ internships you want to report manually? Or you have to put every single position on your resume?

  3. What are some of the way to prove your past exp. Offer letter? Your supervisors’ contacts? What if you doesn’t have the contact?

  4. What does a successful check looks like? And for the opposite?

Would greatly appreciate the help and any details I should know!!!

been through a few now.

  1. 1-3 weeks
  2. probably depends on the firm but they probably want to see the employment history given to the bg check vendor align with your resume, linkedin, etc. the vendors will also likely look at your linkedin and flag any discrepancies.
  3. Supervisor/HR contact mainly. if thats not available you can give proof of income docs like a pay stub or tax document
