Backing out of SA

I'm a freshman and I accepted an offer for an unpaid internship at a BB but now I've found a paid opportunity at a similar bank that I'll apply for. Assuming I get an offer for the paid internship, could I back out of the unpaid? How would I do that?

I was in a similar position, was pretty stressed out before informing the unpaid internship MDs that I was backing out. Realized after informing them that I was just a summer intern (for you especially, since you are only a freshman they're definitely not going to give you a FT offer anytime soon) and was easily replaceable. Just be honest, inform them of your situation, say that you would still like to be considered for a position in the future, and don't burn any bridges.
