Depends on group. If its industrials, it is a sweatshop no matter if you are in Milwaukee or Chicago.
At least in Milwaukee you get to leave the office before 8pm. In Chicago you are routinely going to stay until 12am-1am.
8pm doesn’t sound too bad for IB. How were bonuses this year?
8pm you go home then wfh until 12am minimum... everyday Sun-Thu, Fri they at least let you go at 7-8pm
Wow, didn’t realize you still had to WFH until 12. Hope things get better soon. Is the “No Assholes” policy followed?
People are generally fine and won't yell at you or anything like that. Don't get me wrong, its still banking. People still talk behind your back and there are still sharp elbows but generally speaking, its better than other shops.
We've got the Baird MKE team cranking a deal for us and someone was update the VDR at like 4am. If that person is on WSO and reads this, I am so sorry and we didn't want you to crank the VDR at 4am.
