Baird profit sharing
I heard you can buy into Baird profit sharing once you’ve worked there for at least three years. How has the profit sharing affected total comp? Does it put it at or above EBs?

The buy in you reference is for Baird stock, which is a great long-term wealth creation tool - Baird is 100% employee owned. You can borrow at 3-4% to purchase stock and typically receive a nice 5-10% dividend plus 10% price appreciation each year. So, two different mechanisms here - hope that helps.
Thanks for the explanation. Is liquidity an issue? If you leave the firm and want to divest could the firm stonewall you and just not let you ever liquidate at a good price?
There is a marketing period once each year, so I don’t think there’s anything to “screw you” unless you did something malicious. Even then, I’m not sure there is a mechanism in place to do that. Each year, the demand is 3-4x over the supply.
