Anybody have any experience with/an opinion on these?
Looking to get the best pair of headphones I can for ~$100-150. Prefer on/over ear, and listen to all kinds of music (but nothing super bassy).
Have heard the music quality of these is great but they aren't too durable, which I could overlook if I got a warranty with them. I've listened to B&O stereos plenty of times and the music sounds unbelievable, hoping to find out if the headphones are similar. Can't afford to shell out $400 for the best ones they offer.
I bought a pair of B&O headphones for the gym (the ones that lock in behind the ear). They stopped working for me 2-3 months after the 3 year warranty expired and I was really angry about it. I even wrote an email to their corporate hq and they did nothing at all for me (no repair option and no refurbished replacement). The sound quality was 1st rate but I'll never buy another product from them.
You don't think 3 years is a pretty good life for a pair of headphones? I don't know much about headphones, I'm genuinely asking. To me that sounds like long enough.
I agree that a 3 year warranty seems fine but my pair was ~$200 and I kinda expected them to last like 10 years assuming I never damaged them in anyway, which I didn't. Most companies that sell an ultra high end product will do something to appease the customer and some even offer lifetime warranties.
I just wanted to see B&O address my issue and make an attempt to retain me as a customer. I'm sure at the HQ they have a ton of refurb pairs lying around they could've sent or just taken 10 minutes to try to fix my pair (I have no idea why they stopped working all of the sudden, perhaps a minor wiring issue). I just feel their customer service policies are severely lacking.
Fair enough. Customer service aside, you liked the headphones?
Yeah the sound quality was sick and the ear fit was great too.
