It's the first step to sleezing up facebook and our lives in general. Even if it fails, another program will come along and succeed. The trend has been towards this type of behavior for several decades. 20k users out of 500 million is not a lot so the chances of your dream facebook girlfriend having it is still pretty low.

I happen to think that it's a great use of technology, and I think it'd be really cool if they never monetized it. How cool would it be if some bro just created this thing that helps get everybody laid (something most folks in America could use a lot more of) and then released it into the ether for everyone to enjoy? Plus it gets Puritan's panties in a twist, so I give the creator props for that alone.
As to the OP's question: imagine...just imagine...what a year's worth of usage data would be worth from a blackmail standpoint alone. Staggering. Fucking staggering.

This is sooo dangerous if it gets out....seriously if we are being honest, there are sooo many girls on my FB friend's list I would sex.

I'm not a player or anything, but the effectiveness of that system is kind of scary. Not that myself or my friends have explicitly used it, but girls do respond to EVERYTHING that freakin sociopath (awesome sociopath, that is) did.
There is an app called Tinder that is sort of like this. Basically you get to see facebook pics of girls around you who are also using the app, and if you both like each other's pictures, you get matched up and can send messages. There are at least 1,000 people on my campus who have started using it in the last 2-2.5 weeks.
Ahah it looks just the same but it is less explicit. Btw, I am pretty sure that zuckerberg was thinking about something like this when he created facebook...
