BANKING OR EQUITY RESEARCH

Both offers in London; both in BBs (with respectable coverage analyst); both pay the same base (differing bonus ofc).

Question is how would you assess this decision through focusing solely on exit opps. Both banking and ER have excellent paths to MM L/s HFs. However, it's impossible to leave for PE from ER. Similarly, it's extremely difficult to get into AM from IB.

I'm not quite sure what I want for an exit at the moment, and I don't want to pick something I might regret later on. Feel free to drop your insight.
