Banking Tech- Business Analyst v Developer

I study Computer Science and Business at a target and I am interested in IB tech. Which of these: (Business Analyst v Applications Developer) has greater career prospects in terms of earning potential and exit opportunities (which i guess are interchangeable in this side f the industry?).

In terms of which i would prefer... i don't mind, I really like the idea of programming or working the management side of technology.

Thanks for your help guys :)
