I was wondering if you all can shed some light on the Finance Division at Barcap?
Any chance to move around to FO or up within the division? Any great groups to try and leverage into? Is starting salary in line with street standards? (70 plus 10) Does Bonus vary with the group in which you support? Any overall thoughts?

Finance pays 65-70k. Operations around 55-60k. Both get 10k at signing. End of year bonus is probably the same. Actually for my year, Finance had lower bonuses, so the all-in comp was almost the same as Operations (Ops analysts were also eligible for OT pay, while Finance was not). Not sure if that's the standard, but either way, it's all pennies really. What's a 5-8k swing either way?
