Barclays Corporate Banking Bonus
Currently finishing my second year, analyst stint and have the option to move into corporate banking at Barclays. Does anyone have an idea on what the bonuses are for the corporate bank at Barclays? I have debated going into private equity or stay in IB, although I really value work life, balance, and kind of want a break from crazy hours.
I would assume 40%-80% for As1 but I could be wrong
CB at BRC is not a high paying career path. The grads used to make around £35k around 5 years ago when I started and they don’t progress anything beyond 100k for the next 8/9 years. Bonuses are v v low. Like I’m talking about 25% of base on a good year.
On the flip side, it’s more or less 9-5 so u have amazing work life balance. These numbers are as of 4 years ago when I had direct visibility at Barclays CB
Interesting, that's crazy to hear bc base now for CB at Barclays is 100k USD
I was mentioning LDN numbers. Might have been different in NYC. But yeah CB in London is a high flyer path
