Barcap IB seems to be getting a bit of hate on this forum as of late. I'd like to understand how they stack up within BBs in London and whether it still opens some good doors afterwards - I'm not necessarily all about MF, etc but is it well respected in the City?

It is possible to get a good experience there, especially in certain groups (UKCF M&A, PUI, Nat Res, O&G), but even then I would look at other places due to job security, culture etc.
