Sorry for the lack of context, but at the moment I'm looking to do consulting FT and am not sure which role would position me best for landing interviews/getting a feel for consulting work. I also haven't had much experience in finance, so I'm not yet sure whether I'd enjoy it or not.

I'd appreciate any feedback!

Coming from someone currently at an MBB, Google will give you a much better experience for consulting

Google APMM and BB IBD will give you similar looks in terms of getting consulting interviews next year. If you haven't had much experience in finance, you should definitely take Google - project management is much more in line with what you'd do as a consultant. Also, IBD hours/lifestyle is brutal and if you aren't even sure you want to do finance, you won't have a great experience to talk about/leverage in interviews next year.

Thank you for the responses- I really appreciate it.

One comment I'd like to make is that last summer, I worked in an internal consulting role at a "Fortune 10" company, and was fortunate to have worked on a few strategy-related projects. Given that, I'm not sure if this summer would be best spent on 1) continuing to build on my experience in strategy or to 2) see if investment banking is a better career fit for me.

Google. They'll both get you interviews, but the BB internship will suck ass and Google will be an awesome summer. Plus, you'll be working all interview to convince your MBB interviewer that you aren't just going into consulting because you washed out of banking, whereas no one will question why you'd jump to consulting after spending a summer in Silicon Valley.

I think this is really solid advice. Google will offer an unparalleled summer experience, and may even dictate how you structure your FT job search (e.g. may want to stay at Google/stay in tech etc.). IB is IB, and while I am sure you got a good offer at a top firm, if you don't have a strong interest in IBD FT I'd say try something more unique and enjoyable.
