I wouldn't count on it. The rumor mill is running wild wrt EB bonuses, but high probability they will be record-setting. After bonuses EBs will either match base to BBs, or continue to pay out higher bonuses. EVR / PJT / etc. know a lot of their talent acquisition advantage is from their comp - 0% chance they lose that to BBs.

Not at an EB, my firm has already announced bonuses. But have been hearing rumors of monster EVR / PJT / MoCo bonuses coming in August

Since JPM has already moved, it's only a matter of time before GS/MS do. Once that happens, it'll be the straw that broke the camel's back for the EBs to finally adjust salaries to ensure that they're once again on top in all facets of compensation.
Not sure about bottom BB, but worked at GS/MS and the first year bonuses are absolute garbage. I would be shocked if they are more $5K-10K higher this year. The bonus would need to almost double to match EB, so I don’t see that happening… Second year bonuses are far more generous though.

Because bonuses at MS per Arkedsen reports seem to be fine.
