BB VP 2/3 Salary / Bonus

Are there any solid data points for what VP2/ VP3 can expect to make at a BB (BAML / Citi) for bonus only in a ‘normal’ year? Data points exist a lot but not quite aware of what a decent £ bonus range could be at VP2 / VP3. Just wanting to understand progression.

Assume top performer.

Can only comment on USD figures (assuming that you're thinking GBP), but at that VP level, bonus should start to be 1.5x-2x base.  VP 2 in the US is around $250k, and bonus should be in the $300-$450k range.  At VP3, base should be in the $275-$300k range, and bonus should be in the $350-$500k range

Why are you suggesting this?

I just looked at you prior comments. Your VP2 at EB (top bucket) for 2020 was $565k total comp. Your VP3 at BB after lateraling (so, I guess a guaranteed) was $665k, in perhaps the best market ever.

A normal year for a VP2 at a BB is $500-600k for a middle bucket depending on the bank and year.

Isn't base $275k across the street now?  I think in a 'normal' year, VP1 is ~100% of base for mid bucket, VP2 is ~125% of base, ~VP3 150% of base.  You can add ~20% of top of that for top buckets.  And for this year, you can take ~30% off in my view.

The are plenty BB VPs that are in the 0.75x to 1.25x of base range
