Being Blocked.

I interviewed with a BB, and don't feel that I really clicked with the VP.  I can get to other team-members though via contacts (quite a large team).  Should I try and get 'around' him, or just accept it, as he'll have a say in the ultimate decision anyways?

Advice regarding whether and/or how to go about this would be much appreciated.  Thank you.

Don't you follow up with people after your interview with them? If you really want this group, follow up with everyone and express an interest, but don't kiss ass and be humble about it. As long as you don't pester them, you have nothing else to lose.

But, if your contacts are friends of the family, or people you know personally, it is absolutely acceptable to reach out to them.  It's not going behind the VP's back, you're just being smart and strategic with your networking and trying to get yourself the best chance to get an offer.  I agree with waltersobcheck, don't cold contact his teammates if you don't know them.
