Best Canadian freshman internships for IB route

Hi all. Incoming Freshman at Western. Working FT in development so have the opportunity to network with adjacent industry (Capital Markets, Wealth Management, Commercial Lending, Pension Funds, etc). Want to take advantage of this edge in networking while I have it. Would appreciate recommendations on where to direct my networking efforts in hopes of having something setup for next summer.

(what sorts of firms/roles in Canada freshman summer would put me in the best position for sophomore recruiting?)

Thank you!

Just an FYI, job markets are tough right now in Toronto. That being said, cast your net wide. This includes anything from search funds, boutique PE, WM, corporate banking, back office in capital markets, or anything that you can spin as experience in business (even accounting isn't a bad option).
