Best groups at each bank?
If we had to rank the most up to date MDs at each firm, particularly at the BBs. Which coverage groups are the best at each from deal flow and deal experience perspective?

I'll get the easy ones out of the way. Barclay's P&U is easily top. Bofa RE is either top or tied for top of the street. GS, obviously, TMT. MS Menlo Park. JPM HC. Citi Industrials and Software Tech. DB and UBS... none... lol jk DB is FSG, and UBS is also FSG.
does P&U still exist?
The above is pretty accurate. Here are the best industry groups at each of the BBs, mostly from a deal flow perspective:
MS: Tech (Menlo Park) by far
GS: FIG, TMT, but not by far
JPM: HC by far
Citi: Industrials, Software
BofA: REGL
Agreed with each of them.
Would say that the industry teams that does significant in-house M&A (ex. MS Menlo, GS TMT) offer better exits than those that don't (ex. most coverage groups at JPM/BofA).
I'm pretty sure MS Menlo is split between coverage and M&A.
Don't all GS groups do in-house M&A, given that they don't have an M&A group?
curious if this is saying citi industrials is top of street?
Think it's meant to be the top groups within each firm.
