Best IB Mouse
Anyone bring their own mouse to work? If so, curious to hear what others use. The one I was given at work is junk and I want to replace it with something better. Any recommendations (that are not rainbow light up gamer mice)?
Well, completely contradicting what you just asked for, I use a Logitech G600. Pretty cheap, really comfortable, and enhances productivity by a lot. Yes it's and MMO gaming mouse, but I programmed all the buttons to link to some of the more obscure Microsoft Office functions. Might seem a little sweaty, but it's turned me into a PowerPoint/Excel god.
How exactly have you customized the thumb buttons?
I mostly use it for PowerPoint as Excel is 99% keyboard. But I have duplicate, arrange, group, ungroup, insert rectangle, insert textbox, shapes, lines, etc. Pretty much anything you'd put on a QAT, I programmed to a button. There's also a shift key type thing on the right side, meaning each button can have a double use. Hypothetically, you could program 40 different shortcuts to your mouse.

I use the same. Fits the hand well, endless battery life, and the thumbscroll on the side is very useful.
