Best Undergrad Recruiting Events

Sup monkeys – hoping to get your feedback on what kinds of recruiting events (e.g., workshops, info sessions, etc.) that you've found the most engaging and actually enjoyed. Any anecdotes would be great!

I'm a recruiting lead at my bank and am thinking through what we could do this spring that caters to what the students want to get out of it. I've typically strayed away from the approach of preparing a presentation of tombstones and quals, where the team just talks at students for an hour, as I find that boring for students and impersonal for us. Ultimately, my goal is to make sure you can learn about the firm, while also getting to know each other in a friendly setting.

IMO the best recruiting events always had the most enthusiastic people who genuinely seemed to want to represent their bank. 99% of the powerpoint gets forgotten right away (except maybe recruiting timelines), the only thing that I actually remember is what the people were like at each event

the worst events are always the "networking" events where the banks have 10 sophomores swarming each analyst
