I am currently looking for a boutique or middle market IB internship. What is the best way to search for incoming summer analysts at boutique or middle market investment banks? Would LinkedIn be the only search option? I want to see if the IB already hired interns.
On Linkedin, I have tried searching with words like "Incoming investment banking summer analyst at [investment bank]," but I don't think this approach is entirely helpful because many people don't update their Linkedin profiles or choose not to include the position at this time.

Middle market banks have most likely finished their hiring for this coming summer. Boutiques are less structured, but why are you trying to find incoming analysts as a way to see if they hired? Why aren't you smiling and dialing these banks and asking them yourself? Are you cold emailing these boutiques as well? You need to get them on the phone and figure out what their internship deal is from there. Checking linkedin for incoming SA kids is a waste of time.
Does anyone else find the fact that kids write "Incoming summer analyst at XYZ bank" sort of ridiculous? It's like those attention craving kids who announce on facebook what college they got accepted to.

I am mainly searching for summer analysts for the boutiques because that way I can find whether they are done with their recruiting process or not. I am currently in the process of cold-emailing boutiques, but I thought searching would be easier so I wouldn't waste my time targeting banks that have finished the recruiting process already. Does it make sense to do this?
Personally, I also believe that writing "incoming summer analyst at XYZ bank" is weird, but considering some types of people in the industry (competitive, attention-craving people), I am not surprised by this behavior.
