Better to do MM IBD or MM PE out of undergrad
Hey all,
Have an offer from a MM ibd group and MM pe group, which is best to take for full time out of undergrad? Same location.

If the firms are theoretically identical, I would go with IB. It leaves you with more options afterward.
I may agree if this was BB/EB vs MM PE, but I would take MM PE since there's a great chance this is where you'll end up if you recruit for PE as an MM IB Analyst. This is also assuming that the OP knows that they want to do PE and that the MM PE fund is a strong one ~1B fund.
If you were at a BB or EB, you have a higher shot at MF PE, so might be worth takin taking those chances if that's your goal.
