Beware of Pinpoint Partners in the US

Beware of Pinpoint Partners operating in the US. They are all based in London and although they say they have an office in LA and Atlanta they do not have anyone actually based in the United States. Be wary of those asking for who you are interviewing with - this is only so that they can try and get the job on themselves and cut you out of the loop. They have college students doing internships that spend more than half of their day doing solely this.

Also, if you are an experienced Analyst, Associate or junior VP they will send out your resume to clients without your knowledge as a way to try and win interviews before actually doing any real work. They do a run down of candidates who have been sent out the previous week to see where else they can send the candidate to regardless of their level of interest in the firm or position. This is all directed by the owner who regularly implores the consultants to lie about roles, comp and where they are actually based which makes sense given that he is a convicted felon.

Also, they get your email from linkedin which is why they all have so many connections. They will have high school kids come in and spend 40 hours a week connecting to those on LinkedIn that they do not have email addresses for with a message saying they want to let them know about a mandate they are working on.

Have gotten multiple emails from Pinpoint Partners stating that I'm a top candidate for them and they'd like to set me up for an interview with a "Well known TMT boutique in NYC"

Each time I've replied promptly (one time within 5 minutes) stating that I'm interested, only to get ghosted.

I co-sign this. DO NOT ever give them your information, they are consummate scumbags and have multiple email domains so even when you block/unsubscribe from one they continue to blow you up from others. Any recruiter that claims they're running 20+ mandates with 10+ clients at once doesn't actually have a relationship with the clients.
