Big 4 EU based restructuring groups

Does anybody has some information about the big 4 EU based restructuring groups? How do they compare to RX groups from IBs? Is there more focus on administrative/operational or financials/modelling tasks? The information that I found is significantly outdated.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply. Hmm, that is what I thought. An old post (2012) here on WSO and an article on M&I painted another picture of restructuring at the big 4. I am not completely sure but I believe that the consulting firms you list are not that active in The Netherlands.

There are some sub-teams within the RX arms of the Big 4 that do financial advisory akin to what you see from the EBs. But it's (a) from what I know, limited to LMM clients, and (b) b/c you join the general scheme it's a bit of a toss up which sub-team you enter when you join RX advisory (there are other teams like admins, ops, working capital, etc.)

Note - UK experience. No idea about EU

i know for a fact that at least one of those companies took interns in the Netherlands in the past.

if they no longer do it then yeah, Big 4 is probably way to go although i'd chose IB RX purely because its more highly paid and I'm sure you'd be able to transition to the main 3 RX consulting places easier, if not simply because you have a network built up i.e. someone from Deloitte coming to Alix only brings his experience. Someone coming from PJT / PWP RX can get his friends to give heads up about mandates and try get the 2 companies to do a joint approach etc.
