Bizzare Citi SA24 (London) Experience

Was a bit taken back to see Citi advertising their London IBD and Corporate Banking SA roles on LinkedIn for 2024 already in April but nevertheless decided to send over an application and answered their motivational questions.

Not a day passed by before I just got three almost identical automatic emails at the same time saying different things. One said the role was cancelled, another one that I did not meet their requirements for an itv, and the third said that they will re-open applications in September(?) but left no explanation why.

I get it was probably an error posting the roles this early but it seems really disorganised for them to start uploading the roles to job boards too. Anyone else subject to this mess?

Likely that these postings might've been for people who converted the spring week. They make you apply for the role and then automatically accept you (HR bureaucracy)

Perhaps their recruitment software automatically advertises the applications on LinkedIn etc, then removed as the applications aren't open for general admissions.

Will actually open in august/September - wouldn’t spend time thinking about it beyond being a mistake.
