WB paid zero bonuses last year. Like that’s not an exaggeration. They actually gave analysts zero dollars. Lmfao

Spoke with an MD. Way overinvested in '21, budget got squeezed in '22, '23, '24. He's confident bonuses return. Spoke with a trusted analyst, he said he was pleased with his stub bonus this year. Is this trustworthy/logical?

Current WB analyst here — Firm had an excellent 2024, paid good bonuses and continues to be a great first job for a career in finance. This forum over-indexes to those who’ve had bad experiences, but the majority of folks at WB are happy to work there and are getting quality deal reps. Yes, the firm had a couple of bad years in ‘22 and ‘23, but the reality is that this has no bearing on incoming SAs and analysts and the firm has re-gained its place as a top advisor in the MM, consistently winning mandates and running strong processes

Fake info. 1st year got paid ok this year with the stub. VP and above was a mixed. Associate was totally fucked, unless you are “top” bucket. Ranking is a black box. Paying 45-50% to middle bucket people is not acceptable especially if you worked over 80 hours a week on average. Go anywhere else but Blair. People have been dropping like crazy after bonus. The firm is in desperate search to hire people. Please don’t let people fool you. Blair is a very very shitty place to be.
