Blair/Baird London Offices

Anyone got any updated insight into WB or Baird in London? Not much on this forum but sounds like WB strong in tech and HC (haven't heard if other teams are present in London). Baird id imagine to be more industrials focused, haven't heard much about other teams

Neither has a massive London presence, but Blair is significantly better than Baird here amongst the two

Blair had Tech and HC teams of ~15 and ~25 respectively earlier this year. Both teams busy and good reputation despite small presence. In March they made significant cuts and each team lost 3-5 juniors. Can't imagine they will be hiring again anytime soon. I know intern start dates were delayed from January to June; not sure about the new intake.

Great culture and decent deal flow. They have enough going around to keep people busy. Unlike WB who cut people this year, Baird has not done that, largely because they didn't over hire during the post Covid boom.

I would say their industrial practice is the most established and consumer practice is coming up - they've hired an ex-MS chap to lead that team. Other sectors decent of what I've heard from contacts there.
