Hey I was wondering how useful knowledge of how to use Bloomberg search is for IB as well as consulting. Is it worth the time to go through 'Bloomberg University' and get certs in equities, fixed income etc? How much strength do they add to resumes?

Doing it shows your commitment, not necessarily ability. I assume it wouldn't hurt, but don't expect it to give you a huge leg up in the recruiting process.
