BNY Mellon AM vs. Point72 Fundamental Research

First time navigating exploding offers, would love any insight. I’m a sophomore so I’m not so much worried about return offers, but looking more for what is going to be best for recruiting for PE and banking for junior internships.

I have an exploding offer from BNY Mellon’s investment management sophomore internship tomorrow night, and from Point72 Fundamental Research role. I’m also still in the process for some other firms and Girls Who Invest.

Wondering if anyone can offer advice on how either firm looks for PE/IB between BNY Mellon and P72? BNY Mellon’s program seems to be pretty new/less known, though I thought the firm’s AM was well regarded. The P72 role is back office and not so much the investing I’m looking to do, but unsure in terms of if its prestige/experience will help (for hedge funds/PE).

Thanks!
