Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some insights and advice for your upcoming BofA GCM SA London 2025 interview:

Preparation Tips:

  1. Technical Knowledge:

    • Ensure you have a solid understanding of accounting, DCF, and comparable company analysis.
    • Be prepared for technical questions adjusted to your work experience.
  2. Behavioral Questions:

    • Practice common behavioral questions, such as "Tell me about a time you promoted diversity at the workplace" or "How do you manage conflicting priorities?"
  3. Fit Questions:

    • Be ready to discuss why you are interested in GCM (Global Capital Markets) and why BofA specifically.

Next Stages:

  • Telephone Interview (TI): This is typically the first stage.
  • Assessment Center (AC): After the TI, the next stage is usually an Assessment Center. This may include group exercises, case studies, and further interviews.
  • Follow-up Interviews: There might be additional interviews after the AC, especially for full-time roles.

See, this is the weird thing. I spoke to a HR campus lead for IBD in BoA London and they assured me it's either HV / live VI and then AC. This was at an event that BoA organised and an MD from IBD attended along with Directors, A1 and AS2.

I don't know where people are saying there's a TI because they said 100% there's no TI after HV: straight to AC. LSE tracker confirms this.

Maybe it's different for other programs but they said live VI is only for students who can't do the HV and need special accommodation. They've said that also in previous presentations so unless they're lying, I cannot see what the benefit is to them for saying this and people saying otherwise.
