Bofa HC vs. Barclays HC
Anyone have guidance on what may be a better move? Feel like BofA has a better rep overall, but Barclays has a better HC team right now?Thank you!

Don’t know much about Barc HC but BofA HC has been gutted in recent years, with a good chunk of senior medtech (their strongest sub-vertical) bankers leaving to Gugg.
Your assessment is spot on. Bofa is better in biotech and Barclays is ahead in services, it.
Overall, BofA is probably where you wanna be. Barclays can’t seem to get over the hump in term of Us market share. I also have a few friends who work there and are looking to jump as hours tend to be worse than BofA and jpm, although they work in lev fin and Rx, not gc.
BofA HC is reputed to be v sweaty but they’ve also landed some nice life sciences M&A mandates recently (eg immunomedics and Alexion deals). Take with a grain of salt as I don’t work there.
BofA a better bank but Barclays has a stronger HC group
