Bombed another logical reasoning test. I'm just stupid aren't I?

It's taken me so much time practicing and spending money on practice. Yet here we are. It's like the 20th time I get terrible results, and I know this means something at this point.

These tests are just so ridiculously contrived. EVERY thing can be turned into a pattern, and I'm supposed to spot them how... Seems like these tests are just made for actually smart people

I wouldn't worry about it. You won't need to take one for every job. Also while it might correlate with intelligence to an extent, the main attribute those tests assess is how good you are at taking logical reasoning tests. You could still be able to do the job well. I'd argue the threshold for being able to do a job in finance is a lot lower than the current standard , which is high because people generally like to work with intelligent people. These tests don't mean you aren't intelligent, though. It's all proxy. I enjoy those logic puzzles but would never require someone to take one before an interview. You can always tell if someone is smart or not by talking to them.

The worse part is understanding they're actually a good criteria for actually intelligent people. It can help them a lot in case they miss out on top tier schools or networking or such. I just have a peanut for a brain, man.

Keep pumping out applications, they'll be some that will not have them. A numbers game in the end.
