To my knowledge only MS and GS give analyst Jan bonuses in-line with the rest of the firm, (Associate on up).
Most firms give analyst summer bonuses
because analysts typically start in june/july, they get their bonus a year later, thus late july. Usually when(if) you become an associate, you are moved to the normal bonus cycle.
