Any solid books you can recommend to learn everything I need to know about the mining industry?
Given the breadth and diversity in the sector no single source is going to give you more than average general proficiency. If you're looking for a crash course though my group gets all of their incomings to read Mining Explained by The Northern Miner. If I recall it focuses on precious and base metals ( as opposed to bulks, uranium etc.) but it should be a decent starting point for you regardless of your focus.
