Bored Out of My Mind in First Year Training

I recently started as a first year at a mid-size global bank and my analyst class is going through training with a well known 3rd party training platform. It is shocking to me how slowly the training moves but what's even worse is my peers asking the instructor to move more slowly and stopping to ask questions every few minutes that I would assume any high school senior and especially college grads with majors in finance and accounting should know the answer to.

I know this sounds like a hardo complaint but it does worry me about my bank and my future there. I'm certainly not a modeling expert and will likely not even need it for my day to day in SnT but these are kids in IB and other modeling intensive roles who can't complete models when formatting and assumptions are already written in. I'm talking taking 3-4 hours to complete a very very basic model when everything is there for you.

Are other first years at bigger banks feeling the same? Should I be reconsidering my options or just enjoy the easy work and free time this early in my career?

It's training, not a competition, the whole point is to learn. As far as the rest of us are concerned, you are all useless noobs until you hit the desk, step up and prove yourselves.

Also this doesn't "sound like" a hardo complaint, this is a hardo complaint. You're concerned about your bank and future because of kids in training lol. If you're this soft, you probably should reconsider your options.
