Boutique to Middle Market/BB Move

When I graduate, I am going to work at a micro boutique (less than 10 employees) that does LMM generalized industry deals, primarily sell side m&a. I interned there last summer and the deal flow was pretty solid. I didn't do much valuation or modeling throughout my time there, but I was told that once I start full-time I would have more technical work as an analyst.

I come from a non-target school with a decent gpa (3.7+). The alumni network at my school is really weak and I was not able to make enough solid connections to get a BB gig. I'm wondering if after a few years at this smaller firm I can lateral to a BB/MM/EB. Also, how will this look for B school?

Thanks for any insight! Feel free to ask further questions to help clarify because I know this was a 30,000 foot view.
