Braids to an interview?
I have an interview at a BB for an internship position as an analyst this Thursday. I just went on a cruise with my girlfriend and when we stopped in Jamaica, I foolishly got my hair braided. I really wasn't expecting this interview to happen at all, let alone so soon. I am a regular, fairly good looking white guy. The braids definitely look good, but I suspect would be very unprofessional for an interview. I have been calling different barber shops but none seem to know anything about removing the braids. I am really in a jam here. I am considering possibly buying a very stylish hat to conceal them, but I would imagine I will be asked to remove my hat once in the building.
Is there anything I can do at this point? I want this interview to go as smoothly as possible and have worked my ass off to get where I am now. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thanks!
Obviously a large rasta-hat where you can tuck all those braids/dreads up and hide them would be unacceptable in the office.
I think you can leave the braids in if you wear a bucket hat though.Navy or dark gray only.
HAHAHA this is epic...shave your head and leave one braid..not even kidding
didnt you already have a job anyway? i remember you being too big with too big of a dick or something

It seems every thread here is trolling..does it ever stop?
No. It doesnt stop. So quit your god damn bitching
This may be the post of the year right here. Borderline trolling, yet believable.
If it's of any use, the MD in my group and one assoc are both white dudes with cornrows. They came up through one of the diversity programs and never looked back. Rumour has it the MD is a tranny too.
What it boils down to is your work ethic. If you have a 3.8 with great extras and community involvement, you've got just as good a shot as anyone. Just remember to smile and play to your strengths!
