Breaking into Switzerland banking scene from Non-swiss schools?
How are someone's chances of breaking into the IB scene in Switzerland, given they are from a semi target in UK or US? Since, Switzerland has a cap on foreign workers, I guess mostly Internationals at Swiss schools would first fill this and then maybe then others are recruited. And how will this situation pan out, if after you have a couple of years of experience in IB and then want to relocate to Switzerland?
Most US and EU banks have their regional offices in Frankfurt to cover the region, with perhaps only JP and UBS primarily based in Zurich. So wondering which bank you are trying to break it in?
Are you targeting local boutique firms?
DB, Citi, BofA have an office in Zurich but it is tiny. Like 4-6 people with most coming as a grad from HSG or internally from London
