Bumping into Lloyd Blankfein...

In light of the recent "I bumped into Lloyd Blankfein and called him Jamie Dimon" post, I thought this was worth sharing (although its probably not as funny or whatever). I was biking across the city (NYC) and I stopped next to the Goldman HQ around 4:30. I was checking something on my phone and I saw girls w/ Birkins and well dressed guys as well and everything (I guess the usual for GS?) crossing the bike-way to get into the black cars (I was pretty surprised that people get paid to escort GS employees across a 6 ft wide bike path). Anyways, I'm pulling out and all of a sudden I hear a "Hi baby!" on my left. I turn my head and see Lloyd friggin Blanfein saying hi to a 3 year old nearby. I stop my bike and I'm thinking** holy crap** — as he's walking away he's smiling and we stare at each other for a solid 3 seconds (like we have that mutual understanding or something that he's LB!!!) and I point to him "Are you Lloyd Blankfein???!!" (mind you I'm a 17 y/o kid with a bike helmet wearing some bright blue t shirt on a bicycle) I slowly approach him and ask "Could I have a picture?!". LB smiled and said — "sorry, I gotta run".

Whatever, I thought it was wild — wasn't gonna try to use him for some internship offer as a HS kid but I guess it would be a pretty cool icebreaker or something if I ever get to meet him in an elevator.

@people who work at GS... how often do you see Lloyd Blankfein? I know that Dick Fuld was 100% absent from the Lehman scene outside of his office, but what about GS and Blankfein? Any cool insights?
