Business Frat Rushing at IU

Hi guys,

I'm a freshman Finance DA and Hutton student who was thinking about rushing a business frat. My friends were talking about what a good idea it was, and after talking to some acives at a club fair, I was convinced about what a strong brotherhood this could bring

Unfortunately, when I showed up to Professional Fraternity Night (PFN), I was surrounded by an army of hundreds and hundreds of other kids who were also thinking of rushing. Now, I know I'm not a slouch (I wouldn't have gotten into Kelley otherwise), but knowing that there are only a handful of spots in each frat and knowing what powerhouse resumes other kids have, I'm feeling pretty pessimistic about my chances.

I know what great friendships and networking opportunities business frats can provide, and I would love to take advantage of those, but it seems like an impossible task to get a bid. This seems like such a daunting process, as there are so many other students aiming for the same targets I am. Does anyone have any advice or tips they could send my way? I'll still go through the networking events and apply to a couple chapters, but I feel like it's all for nothing considering the competition. Any genuine feedback is appreciated.
