Business Valuation to RX?
Currently a Senior working at at MM accounting firm (RSM/BDO) on the valuation side and looking to make an exit into RX either as an consultant (A&M, etc.) or on the IB side. Has anyone else seen this move happen?
Yes, I worked in TAS at BDO before making my move into Rx (both consulting and IB).
I've spent some time with TAS helping out on projects here and there as well. Any advice on how to pursue a role in RX and sell those experience? ~5 years of combined work between the two groups, primarily with BV.
Which did you enjoy more? Rx Consulting or IB and why?
Happens more often than people realize, but if Rx IB just make sure you cast a wide net.
yes (atleast in A&M) but dont expect to come in at a senior level. associate level (above analyst) should be doable.
A&M may even bring them in as an Analyst considering the lack of restructuring experience.
