Buyside Equity Research Exit Opps

Hi, I have recently accepted a graduate job to start as an Equity Research Analyst at one of the large asset managers in London (T Rowe, Fid, BR, Van etc) and whilst I really like the sound of the job I was wondering what the exit opps would be later down the road if I decided to move in 3 years time or so. Could I move to an IB in the same industry coverage group? Could I move to a hedge fund etc? I would really appreciate any insight!
