Can by offer be rescinded.

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here in a while since I signed my offer in february as I wanted a break from finance. However, my GPA has dropped quite significantly this semester due to a combination of factors.

I don't want to post a sob story but in a nutshell, I was coming back from a leave of absence last semester and then midway through this semester I was in the hospital due to some pre-surgery stuff. I think all of this definitely affected my level of determination but I also added a double major (mathematics) because I'm an international student and the firm said they were gonna really try to sponsor me because of the extra 2 years from STEM OPT.

In the end I went from a 3.93 to a 3.69 because math is definitely harder than business administration lmao. To me this is a significant drop, and I'm worried about my offer being potentially rescinded since I'm a non-target and they emphasized the strength of my GPA throughout recruiting.

I'd love to hear feedback and thoughts and any steps I should take? I haven't been asked to provide transcripts yet and I'm unsure when that actually happens but I signed the offer 10 months ago.

Happy holidays to you all!

Buddy, you are big chillin. My GPA drop off was even larger (senior year victory lap for the ages), and I was never worried about my offer being rescinded. And of course it never was. Your drop off would have to be much more cartoonish for that to even be a conversation (like falling from a 3.9 to a 3.1, with a ton of F’s).

Don’t worry about this at all and enjoy the holiday homie.
